The life span of a LED lamp is dependant on life span of the LEDs, which are in turn dependent on their junction temperatures. Based on specifications of a LED manufacturer, the correlation between LED life span (defined as not more than 30% light degradation) and LED junction temperature is tabulated below:

We measured the temperatures of the solder points of the LEDs installed in our LED lamps. Using the table below and adding the ambient temperature, you can estimate the lifespan of the LEDs used in the LED lamps.

For example, for the G24-6W LED lamp, the junction temperature of each LED is approximately 50 ℃ above ambient temperature. If the ambient temperature is 30 ℃. then the junction temperature is 30 + 50 = 80 ℃ Based on the life span table above, the corresponding LED life span is about 34,000 hours.
